Hari Terbuka Armada 2014, TLDM Lumut #TMM2014

Salam,
Pagi td sehingga tengah hari tadi berkesempatan utk join aktiviti sempena Hari Terbuka Armada 2014, di TLDM dan sempena ulangtahun TLDM yg ke 80! (Tun Mahathir lagi tua dari TLDM,hehe). Semoga pasukan TLDM cekal,tabah,berani menjaga perairan negara dari dicerobohi!i salute you all guys!

Memang best sangat dan grand sambutan tahun ini berbanding tahun lepas!Excited!Grand tu dah macam dalam cita Battleship tu dah.heheh.Antara aktiviti:

#1. Boleh bergambar dan naik helikopter utk bergambar.Ingat senang ka hari biasa nak merasa naik heli ni?heheheh

#2. Naik Bot. Yang ni kena bayar RM2.murah ja.heheheh. I love boat riding!

#3. Melawat kapal.Kali ini banyak kapal TLDM provide utk sesi lawatan.tahun lepas merasa naik KD kelantan sahaja. Pastu boleh tgk kapal selam milik Malaysia juga.

Give up

Kadang kala perasaan give up muncul di kepala.
tapi sayang.dah nk ke penghujung.
kekuatan mental entah ke mana. kekuatan fizikal masih ok utk meneruskan perjuangan.

Bersyukur masih diberi peluang hidup hingga kini dan sihat.alhamdulillah atas nikmat kesihatan yg diberikan oleh ALLAH kepada ku ini,
pada hari ahad yg lalu, berkesempatan melawat kawan di hospital.
kawan sek rendah,dah lama rasa x jumpa.maybe around 5-7 years.diagnose having leukimia.
stage berapa xtau,xsampai hati nak tya details2.
moga dia tabah menghadapi dugaan ini.

budget 2014 #throwback

Tak sangka my idea for budget 2014 previously among most agreed. my idea got around 90 votes however also in most disagreed  for transport& infrastructure category. haha. but i did my part  to give the idea to have better Malaysia.

Malaysia Indonesia Geopolymer Symposium 2014!

Alhamdulillah, my paper has been accepted for the above symposium.
However, we are now having the difficulties on the payment as the organizer didn't accept Letter of Undertaking (LOU) and have to settle the payment within 2 weeks.
Huhu. and the procedure from my departments is quite lengthy .hauhuahuah. Hopefully,managed to send to RIO by next week.
Hopefully I can join the MIGS as it is a platform to build networking with the geopolymer researchers! (or maybe to seek potential sv for my PhD :P).
Looking forward to see the MIGS participants!

Publishing Research by Dr Lim Jit Kang

Salam,
Just wanna share with you guys about the talk that I attended last Monday on "Publishing Research" by Dr Lim Jit Kang, the representative of the American Chemical Society Malaysian chapter.A lecturer from USM.
Really good talk. I learned a lot. Just summary from what I gained from the talk.

1. You have to publish your work first! This is important as people around the world doing similar what you did.So, the one that reported it earlier will be acknowledged by others :) .So ,please write a paper!hahah (honestly,i hate writing a technical paper).

2. Go publish in the journal by the professional society such as American Chemical Society because it will be reviewed by the experts on that field. Not looking for the impact factor only.The calculation of impact factor seem not really ok as it is only calculate from the total citation. 
For eg:
 total articles for 2 years : 143
 total citation: 6479
 impact factor : 6479/143 =40++

so, not all the paper accepted in high impact factor is good. it depends on the citation:).

3.Don't ever share your result in internet/fb/blog before it officially published!Afraid of the publisher figure out and they will reject your paper.

4. Stop using excel!use other software to draw the result. (huhu,I always use excel!.need to figure out any software to draw my result). Use powerpoint to draw figure!

5.How to write an abstract:-
         1)introduction on what purpose of this reserach was
         2)brief overview on methods without being too specific.
         3)for the result, try to include your important data
         4)what is it the important/the outcomes
         5)use past tense
         6)should be self-contained- no abbreviations,references

6) Do thorough literature Review! Set aside the difficult paper, start with fundamental. You must used text book!

Secure hostel for next sem :)

Alhamdulilllah, yesterday my appeal has been approved by residential village manager.
FYI,dak2 female postgrad kena pindah dok luar (umah sewa) tapi Eija kan dalam about 1 sem to finish (hopefully).atleast exp abeskan dulu pon jadi la.writing dekat luar .haha..then, ad student postgrad jumpa DVC student affairs utk discuss isu ini,and he approved the appeal to stay in hostel. however, based on manager residential, limited beds was approved.so, ini rentetan how I secure my accomodation for next sem:)

A busy day yesterday:
9.50a.m -collect voucher book.alhamdulillah, after this shopping buku plak:)
10.00 am- attend talk on publishing research article. Good talk from Dr Lim Jit Kang
12.30 p.m-upon arrived at lobby door(i want to go to finance counter)  the security announce the counter is closed. arghhhhh, memang geram. nak ja kata kat m.cik tu, x la, saya nak naik atas nak jumpa rektor.arghhhhhh.

2.30p.m- g kaunter finance balik.ya ampunnn.ramai sgt org.after almost 30-45minutes,bru dapat turn.ok,request resit hostel payment from finance.

3.40pm- ke blok O utk anta surat appeal mohon asrama.ok,nasib baik aik yg jg dkt kaunter tu suruh jumpa Manager terus.

4.00p.m- finally approved. terus ke V5 office utk hantar form. and alhamdulillah, dapat register utk next sem.

what a tiring day,but alhamdulillah, urusan hostel next sem dah setel:)

Alhamdulillah atas rezeki-Mu

Alhamdulillah,I got 2 good news from my friend.
Tumpang rezeki mereka.
1. Aina dapat placement di PMO,Kerteh. i'm heppy for her.
2. Erry dapat keja dekat Batu Gajah.

Both of them are getting married. rezeki mereka.


and for me,
I got my first Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) allowance :)

and,
now, it is raining!

Alhamdulillah atas rezeki-Mu Ya Allah :)
