Wat Pho

The highlight for most people visiting Wat Pho is the Reclining Buddha. The figures here are impressive: 15 metres tall, 46 metres long, so large it feels like it has been squeezed into the building. The Buddha's feet are 5 metres long and exquisitely decorated in mother-of-pearl illustrations of auspicious 'laksanas' (characteristics) of the Buddha. 108 is a significant number, referring to the 108 positive actions and symbols that helped lead Buddha to perfection. You’ll need to take your shoes off to enter.
Opening Hours: Daily 08:00 - 17:00

Location: Maharat Road. Close to the river , Pier 8

ReclinING Buddha

Then, we round area sekitar....

lepas tu pergi balik ke jetty utk balik ke A-One Inn..On da way to beli lagi buah mangga 3 bungkus = 60 bath...sbb k.tia ckp yg dia bli semalam berhampiran dgn tmpt kami tido tu berharga 40 bath ...so,kt sini murah ,bekalan utk dinner malam ni sbb travel jimat katakan....tamatlah sudah sesi lawatan tempat bersejarah....

So, travel expenses kali ini...

Bangkok Trip :Day 2 ,Part I

Bangun tido seawal yg mungkin sebab nk cover byk tempat..tp last decide after breakfast la gerak...rugi plak nak start berjalan seawal 6pg sebab breakfast disediakan start pukul 6.30 pagi..
after taking breakfast, kami gerak ke BTS National stadium dan beli one day BTS pass...cost 130 bath utk unlimited ride for that date...destinasi yang dituju:

Victory Monument

If you travel by Skytrain (BTS) to Mo Chit en route to Chatuchak Weekend Market you'll catch the best view possible of this large military monument, built to commemorate Thailand's victory over French colonialists in Indochina. This was a brief and relatively bloodless war that led to the country regaining disputed land on its borders with Indochina.
How to get there? From BTS Skytrain Victory Monument Station, take exit 4 or, for a better perspective, continue walking onto the pedestrian overpass, which wraps around the monument.

Singgah utk tangkap gambar sahaja sebelum tiba di Chatuchak Market...

view dari atas BTS Victory Monument

Chatuchak Weekend Market

Once only popular among wholesalers and traders, Chatuchak Weekend Market has reached a landmark status as a must-visit place for tourists. Its sheer size and diverse collections of merchandise will bring any seasoned shoppers to their knees – this is where you can literally shop ‘till you drop’.
The 35-acre (68-rai) area of Chatuchak is home to more than 8,000 market stalls.Hop on the skytrain (BTS) to Mo Chit station, take exit no. 1 and follow the crowd until you see rows of canvas stalls selling clothes. Turn right while continuing to follow the crowd and you will see a small entrance that leads into the market (clothing section).
The weekend market is open on Saturdays and Sundays, 09:00 - 18:00, and Fridays 18:00 - 24:00. Plant sections are also open on Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 07:00 - 18:00.

Selepas sudah sesi bergambar kami meneruskan destinasi untuk shopping. Chatuchak weekend market!!!! Pasar yang paling terbesar di dunia if i'm not mistaken. Kat sini x shopping sgt just beli 1 helai dress yg berharga 179 bath [rasa menyesal x beli 2-3 helai..huhuuh...sebab dekat kedai tu paling murah yg jumpa] ,tapi sbb beli 3 helai share dgn kwn2, dapat lag murah, around 170 bath sahaja...dan 3 helai thai silk shawl yg berharga 100 bath/sehelai ..heheh..
itu sahaja hasil tangkapan ija di Chatuchak...My advice, bila dah berkenan tu terus beli ja sbb possibility utk jumpa balik kedai yang sama amatlah susah sebab besar sangat & tak ingat lorong mana yang dah masuk...hehehe...then lepas tu berehat seketika di Chatuchak Park..

Chatuchak Park

A large public park that sits next to Chatuchak Weekend Market you usually see from the BTS Mo Chit’s platform is a leisure and recreation spot for nearby residents. A visit to Chatuchak Park in the morning or during the weekend lets you see a slow side of Bangkok urbanites, who would come here to run, ride a bike or just relax under the trees.

Selepas berehat2, decide utk balik ke hotel utk letak barang dan berehat seketika.. sebelum naik BTS, ad bli skit souvenier keychain...5= 50bath....sebelum sambung berjalan2 lagi :)

So total expenses setakat ni,

Transportation : 130 bath
Shopping/Souvenier : 50 Bath +170 Bath =220 bath

Total : 350 bath

Next destination: Madam Tussaud

Bangkok Trip : Day 1

Salam,
Alhamdulillah, selamat landing di LCCT around 11.30 a.m pada hari Isnin lalu.
Just a quick update on day 1...mostly about the journey to bangkok..

Flight Eija & friends (K.Tia & Putri) around 3.30 p.m.
Kami bergerak dari KL Sentral menaiki SkyBus dengan harga RM10 [Oh my,harga dah naik..huhu]
Dalam sejam setengah dah sampai...sampai around pukul 12.30 if not mistaken..
So,still awal lagi..so,makan dlu bihun yg ditapaukan along & junk food dekat food court LCCT..
Then pukul 2 masuk tgk screen, dah open check in utk flight ke Bangkok...
Luckily pergi tya dekat kaunter information, kena verify dahulu boarding pass sebab eija buat online check in.So, sila lah pergi beratur dekat booth color biru . So, nnt staff airasia akan cop dahulu boarding pass kita & boleh tya gate departure sama. Then baru masuk gate untuk departure. Untuk melepasi imigresen, ramai gila org dekat bahagian foreign passport. Kawan2 Eija orang indonesia, so kenalah tunggu dekat 15-20minit...bahagian malaysia passport sikit sahaja orang, so sat ja la dah pass imigresen.
Then, around 3 p.m dah boarding....heheh...flight depart lambat dalm 10-15minit jugak la...bila masuk dlm aircraft tu boleh kira dengan jari perempuan islam yang pakai tudung..x sampai 10 org kot rasanya...Luckily sebelah eija, akak tu keja dgn anak syarikat petronas, perempuan melayu islam..boleh la dok sembang2 ngan dia...perjalanan around 2 hours...around 4.30p.m (waktu di thailand, thailand lambat sejam dari Malaysia) selamat landing di Don Mueong airport. Next mission kena cari tempat tinggal yg Eija dah book through booking.com [refer previous entry]

Journey at Bangkok bermula...
So, after lepas imigresen Bangkok, kami tya di kaunter tourist information untuk gunakan bus sahaja. Sebab terbaca dekat blog boleh amik bus ke BTS Mo Chit (Sukhumvit Line) ....Untuk dapatkan bus, exit pintu 6..Luckily, bila kitaorg kuar di pintu tu bus dah tunggu....Bus no A1 ni akan pergi ke BTS/MRT Mo Chit...Tambang bus hanya 30Bath. ..on da way naik tangga ke BTS Mo Chit, terberkenan dengan blazer& jaket..so,shopping start!hahha....belanja 400 bath utk satu blazer & satu jaket... teringt hari tu hari sabtu, so chatuchak weekend market...tapi dah xramai yg jual sebab dah lewat ptg...Then, kitaorg beli tiket BTS dekat kaunter ke BTS Nasional Stadium yang berharga 42 Bath. Selamatlah menaiki BTS, tapi tapi, untuk ke BTS National stadium kena interchange dekat BTS Siam sebab BTS National Stadium terletak di Silom Line. Lepas satu station dari Siam, dah sampai dah pon BTS National Stadium.

di BTS Mo Chit

Misi mencari A-One Inn
Then misi utk mencari tempat tido....tempat penginapan Eija & kwn2 di A-One Inn.. dalam 5 minit ja jalan kaki dari BTS National Stadium tu..senang ja nak cari tempat ni sebenarnya, tapi awal2 dh salah amik jalan..hahah....untuk ke A-One Inn, dari BTS National Stadium, amik exit 1...then lepas turun tangga BTS tu, jalan straight smpai satu simpang  (akan kelihatan Rama 1 Rd signage) belok ke kiri...first bangunan yg akan jumpa bila belok ke kiri tu adalah Muangphol Mansion...around 3 minutes la jalan kaki dari Muangphol Mansion tu  jumpalah A-One INN....cost triple room utk 2 malam adalah 2760 bath...so sorang dalam 920 bath (including breakfast)...so lepas check in, rehatkan badan dan kuar jalan2...destinasi?next..

gambar dari booking.com

Jalan2 malam hari di bangkok...

Selepas dinner dengan maggi [budget trip katakan], decide utk ke MBK shopping centre....dekat ja sebenarnya dengan tempat tido kami...on da way tu ternampak Bangkok Art & Culture Centre..so singgah sebentar..tp dalam tu banyak kedai dah tutup...ad pameran lukisan jugak...

The Art and Cultural Centre is the hub of Bangkok’s burgeoning art scene and offers the widest range of contemporary art, design, music, theatre and film in the city.It hosts a number of changing exhibitions from both Thai and International artists. Entry is free and the centre is open from 10.00 till 21.00 every day except Mondays

Then lepas ad announcement dah nak tutup, kami pon gerak ke MBK...

The multi-storey MBK is probably Bangkok's most legendary shopping mall, popular with both tourists and locals. Eight floors packed with 2,000 shops that sell everything from clothing, fashion accessories, handbags, leather products and luggage to furniture, mobile phones, electric appliances, cameras, stationery and DVDs.Opening Hours10:00 - 22:00

BTS: National Stadium

Time kami arrived tu pon ,banyak kedai dah nak tutup...sempat tgk few kedai sahaja dan ad berkenan dah!yeay, esk target utk shopping seluar tu..hehehhehe..kalu x jumpa dekat chatuchak market, mmg nk rembat ptg esok dekat MBK...so,kena datang lagi....lepas dah x boleh ronda2 sgt, decide blk bilik sahaja..tido,sbb esk pack satu hari ..kena fully utilize masa....sebelum balik singgah beli pancake...pancake thailand ni mmg sedapppp lorhhhhh.... beli dekat depan 7e dekat dengan Muangphol Mansion..zzzzzzzz
